German-Mexican Digital Dialogue at the Regional Forum on Digital Transformation

The secretariat of the German-Mexican Digital Dialogues is co-organising two sessions within the framework of the Regional Forum on Digital Transformation, taking place from 24 to 26 May 2023. The event serves as a platform for fostering innovative, inclusive and engaging discussions among diverse stakeholders. The aim of the sessions is to facilitate an exchange on strategies for promoting a sustainable and socially conscious digital transformation in Mexico and Latin America.
The first virtual session “Exchange on data-driven solutions, data use within the government and interoperability of data in the government” is taking place on 24 May 2023, 10:30 UTC / 18:30 CEST.
The session aims to drive collaboration and sharing of best practices between Germany and Mexico regarding the utilization and interoperability of data in policymaking. Participants will engage in discussions with the goal of enhancing policy outcomes and encouraging responsible data usage in both countries.
The second online session “The effect technology can have on smart and urban mobility. A multi-stakeholder exchange” is scheduled for 25 May 2023, 09:00 UTC / 17:00 CEST.
The focus of this session lies on the intersection of technology and smart urban mobility and explores how digital tools can enhance understanding of population and goods movement. Experts from diverse sectors will discuss opportunities and challenges for inclusive digitalization, mobility processes, infrastructure, regulatory frameworks and data strategies.

The sessions are jointly organized by the secretariat of the German-Mexican Digital Dialogues and the Data4Policy project as well as the Transition towards an Integrated, Accessible and Smart Public Transport System in Mexico (TranSIT). The projects are financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Digital Dialogues are commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV).
