Panel on 5G application at the Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM) 2025

The Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM) is one of Latin America’s leading fairs for Industry 4.0, digital transformation and smart manufacturing. Already celebrating its seventh edition, the event demonstrates that more actors from the private and public sector are aware of the importance of digital technologies for sustainable industrial development.

This year, the Secretariat for the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue organises a panel discussion at the ITM. The Mexican-German Digital Dialogue was established between Mexico’s Ministry of Economy (SE), Digital Transformation and Telecommunications Agency (ATDT), and the German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS).

The panel will highlight the role of 5G technology in industrial applications. The session will feature the presentation of a practical guide developed in collaboration with NTT DATA, which outlines use cases and recommendations for industrial application in Mexico, and how 5G technology can enhance productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. Representatives from government, business, academia and civil society will discuss the opportunities and challenges of 5G adoption, share best practices from Germany and Mexico, and reflect on the implications of Mexico's new Telecommunications and Broadcasting Law. Panel representatives will be announced in the coming weeks.

Through these forums, the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue contributes to shaping a future-oriented digital ecosystem for the industry.
