Webinar for German companies: Kenya’s Data Protection Act

Kenya’s Data Protection Act from 2019 is now being actively enforced by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). Any German company seeking to operate in Kenya or process the personal data of Kenyan residents must register with the ODPC and align its practices to Kenyan requirements. Non-compliance can lead to fines, reputational risk, and operational delays.

To support German companies in this, the ODPC is partnering with the Kenyan-German Digital Dialogue to host a focused 1.5-hour webinar for German companies. This webinar will clarify what the Kenyan Data Protection Act requires exactly, who must register, how to manage cross-border data transfers, and how to ensure compliance in the short to medium term.
