Germany and Argentina are reliable and important partners in trade and digitalisation. With Argentina having one of the most modern and competitive telecommunications systems in the region, many German companies have a high degree of investment in Argentina’s digital transformation. At the same time, Argentina is a global frontrunner in e-government and offers its citizens broad electronic access to public services.
Argentina's Digital Agenda 2030 (Agenda Digital 2030) aims to promote better services for citizens, digital inclusion and means for growth and new jobs. The German-Argentinian Chamber of Commerce has made Industrie 4.0 and the digital transformation its focus topics.
Against this background, the Argentinian State Secretariat for Modernisation and the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) are conducting a Digital Dialogue, which was established in 2019. Its aim is to promote exchange and cooperation in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT), blockchain, big data, cloud computing, promotion of start-ups and SMEs, digital governance and the protection of intellectual property rights.
