Global Stakeholder Forum on International Digital Policy

Online

The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) is currently developing a strategy for Germany's international digital policy. In this process, BMDV is consulting with stakeholders from civil society, academia and business – not only from Germany, but also from around the world.

Therefore, BMDV would like to cordially invite you to the Global Stakeholder Forum on International Digital Policy on Tuesday, 23 May 2023, 9:30-11:00 CEST and on Wednesday, 24 May 2023, 16:30-18:00 CEST. We will host two sessions, one for stakeholders from the Eastern Hemisphere and one for stakeholders from the Western Hemisphere. You can choose the meeting time which suits you the most. The meetings will be held online and in English.

You will have the opportunity to share your perspectives on matters of international digital policy in the context of Germany’s upcoming strategy for international digital policy.

The following questions will guide the discussion and we are inviting you to share your thoughts with us:

  • What expectations do you have towards Germany’s upcoming strategy for international digital policy?
  • In which areas of international digital policy could needs and interests of your country be promoted more effectively?
  • How can the strategy help reducing the global digital divide?
  • Which existing or new policy approaches, activities and formats should be used for this?

To participate, please register via the form below until 19 May 2023. In due time ahead of the meeting, you will receive the dial-in details to attend via Webex.

BMDV has commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to support the implementation of the Stakeholder Forum. Please do not hesitate to contact the GIZ team if you have any questions.
