International Digital Dialogues Conference – Shaping digital policy together

The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport cordially invites you to the first International Digital Dialogues Conference. It will take place on 21 and 22 November 2024 in Berlin. The conference will convene over 100 selected representatives from all Digital Dialogues’ partner countries – from the public and private sector, civil society and academia. The event will stimulate an international dialogue on current digital policy issues. Focus topics include sustaining a free internet, digital public infrastructure (DPI), promotion of startups, and disinformation and AI in the super election year 2024.

Background and objective

The bilateral Digital Dialogues foster collaboration between like-minded states, support the alignment of rules and strategies in international digital policy, and bring together stakeholders from many different sectors. The aim is to jointly improve the framework conditions governing the digital realm. And ultimately to provide the opportunities of the global digital transformation to everyone.

The International Digital Dialogues Conference will unite our partner countries and stakeholders in their commitment to shaping an inclusive, free, reliable and innovative digital future.

Why join the conference?

The conference will be hosted by German Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, Dr Volker Wissing. It offers a great opportunity to work on pressing digital policy issues with high-ranking participants from all over the world.

You will have the chance to exchange experiences and best practices with representatives from many different sectors. In working groups, you will develop specific recommendations for international digital policy and work on joint initiatives and cooperation projects to tackle shared challenges together.

Focus topics

The conference includes four different thematic tracks:

  1. Sustaining and promoting the free internet together
  2. Digital public infrastructure (DPI) for social inclusion
  3. Digital economy and promotion of startups
  4. Disinformation and AI in the super election year 2024
