Workshop at the Brazilian IGF on international standards in Brazilian AI regulation

The Secretariat for the Brazilian-German Digital Dialogue and the EU-Brazil Digital Dialogue organises a panel discussion titled “Between the global and the local: the pros and cons of adopting international standards in AI regulation in Brazil” at the 14th Brazilian Internet Governance Forum (FIB). The panel will take place on 24 May 2024, 09:00 to 10:30 BRT / 14:00 to 15:30 CEST.
Brazilian experts will discuss the Brazilian draft AI regulation, analysing the interplay between the regulation and international standards for AI governance, such as ISO 42001.
The Brazilian Internet Governance Forum brings together stakeholders from the public and private sector as well as civil society and academia to debate internet governance and emerging technologies in Brazil prior to the UN Internet Governance Forum. The 2024 edition of FIB will take place in Curitiba-PR from 21 to 24 May in a hybrid format.
