Aligned with the priorities of the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue, the agenda of the training day focused on digital transformation, cybersecurity and sustainability. First, GIZ’s NAMA PyME initiative (supporting SMEs in energy-saving measures) highlighted energy efficiency as a strategic opportunity for MSMEs, emphasising cost reduction, productivity gains and access to financing instruments such as Eco Crédito Solar.

Siemens contributed with a session on industrial cybersecurity beyond firewalls, explaining the international cybersecurity landscape and presenting a structured roadmap of Mexico’s increasingly digitalised industrial infrastructure.

Bridging technology and sustainability

Complementing these perspectives, GIZ’s Recuperación Verde programme (investments with a social and environmental purpose to promote MSMEs) explored how digital tools and sustainability strategies can be integrated into MSME business models through the sustainability pyramid approach.

Finally, Bosch shared insights on energy-efficient and smart technologies for residential, commercial and industrial applications, illustrating practical use cases for innovation in SMEs.

The training day saw strong participation and high engagement, reaffirming the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue as a key platform for collaboration and resulting in a successful and impactful training initiative for MSMEs.
