Annual Meeting of the Indo-German Digital Dialogue: New focus topics on the horizon
The Annual Meeting of the Indo-German Digital Dialogue took place on 23 June 2022 with more than 50 participants joining physically and virtually. The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) welcomed the Indian delegation from the Ministry for Electronics and IT (MeitY). State Secretary Stefan Schnorr (BMDV) and Secretary Alkesh Sharma (Meity) reiterated their commitment to the Indo-German Digital Dialogue. Besides the established topics of the Work Plan, they discussed new focus topics such as green technology for the upcoming year.

Workshop on data governance at the Brazilian Internet Forum
In the framework of the German-Brazilian Digital Dialogue, a workshop entitled "Data governance for a data-based economy: (inter)national tendencies" was organised together with the Brazilian Industrial Internet Association (ABII). It was held on 2 June 2022 at the 12th Brazilian Internet Forum (FIB) which took place in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. You can watch the discussion of the participants in the video below.

Modi and Scholz reaffirm commitment for cooperation on digital transformation
During the 6th Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC), Germany and India reaffirmed their mutual commitment for the Indo-German Digital Dialogue. Both sides reiterated that the Indo-German partnership is based on shared values, rules-based, open, inclusive, free and fair trade. Furthermore, they underlined the socio-economic benefits of the digital transformation for their countries.
