The German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) and the largest Indian software association, National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 1 June. Thereby, they agreed to jointly promote economic relations between India and Germany.

Brazil

For the second time, government representatives of Germany and Brazil met to reiterate their exchange on digital policy. Together with representatives of the private sector, they discussed opportunities for joint innovation projects.

During the 6th Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC), Germany and India reaffirmed their mutual commitment for the Indo-German Digital Dialogue. Both sides reiterated that the Indo-German partnership is based on shared values, rules-based, open, inclusive, free and fair trade. Furthermore, they underlined the socio-economic benefits of the digital transformation for their countries.

On 4 March 2022 at the NASSCOM International SME Conclave, the Indo-German Digital Dialogue facilitated a session on “Opportunities for Indian SMEs in Germany and understanding digitalisation needs of the German Mittelstand” together with the German Association for Medium Sized Businesses (BVMW).

Brazil

Representatives from both countries successfully adopted a Work Plan until 2022. It provides for partnerships in areas such as internet governance and data policy, emerging technologies and digital business models.
