GENERALStrengthening the economy, deepening partnerships: Exchange with the German business communityThe German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS) and the European Commission hosted a joint event in Berlin on 28 November 2025. It offered German companies and associations the opportunity to learn more about the EU's Tech Business Offer and to contribute their interests for the International Digital Dialogues. Satellite event at the AsiaBerlin summit 2025: Insights on the EU Tech Business OfferOn 27 November, BMDS hosted a satellite event at the AsiaBerlin summit. The event gave Asian companies the chance to directly engage with the European Commission on the recently launched EU Tech Business Offer and informed about its opportunities as well as the International Digital Dialogues.
BRAZILLaunch of the Gaia-X Hub in BrazilThe Secretariat for the Digital Dialogues in Brazil facilitated a technical mission with the CEO of Gaia-X Association for Data and Cloud, Ulrich Ahle, on 28 October 2025. During the technical mission, the Gaia-X Hub in Brazil was launched. The Hub in Brazil is the fifth in the world outside the European Union and the first one in South America.
GHANAAdvancing digital identity: Insights from the Ghana Digital & Innovation Week 2025On 13 November at the Ghana Digital & Innovation Week 2025, policymakers, technical experts and privacy specialists from Ghana and Germany discussed the digital identity ecosystems of the countries. Both are driven by the same ambition: to build trusted digital ecosystems that protect citizens while enabling innovation.
INDIADiscussion at the Bengaluru Tech Summit: Advancing digital cooperation between Germany and IndiaOn 19 November 2025, we co-organised a panel and roundtable discussion on digital cooperation between Germany and India. The session took place on the sidelines of the Bengaluru Tech Summit and brought together policymakers, industry leaders and researchers from Germany, the European Union and India.
INDONESIAHarmonising data regulations: Launch of a policy briefOn 30 October 2025, the policy brief "Harmonising Data Regulations: Advancing Indonesia’s Role in the Global Digital Economy" was launched in Jakarta. It was published on behalf of BMDS and the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs (MCDA). The launch highlighted the importance of internationally harmonised data regulation.
KENYAGerman and Kenyan businesses explore collaboration in IT outsourcing and BPOAs part of the Kenyan-German Digital Dialogue, an exchange session was held on 22 October 2025 to strengthen cooperation between German and Kenyan businesses in the IT- and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sectors. The focus lied on exploring practical pathways for German firms seeking to enter the Kenyan market.
MEXICOPublication of the 5G Practical Guide: Strengthening Mexico’s industrial transformationIn collaboration with NTT DATA, we present the new publication "5G Practical Guide - Use cases and recommendations for industrial application in Mexico". This guide identifies 5G use cases in key industrial sectors such as manufacturing, automotive production and logistics automation, and offers concrete recommendations for their implementation.
REPUBLIC OF KOREAKorean startups get to know the Berlin startup ecosystemOn 3 and 4 November, we joined the Global Market Expansion Program (GMEP) and supported 20 Korean startups to visit the Berlin startup ecosystem. The Secretariat for the Korean-German Digital Dialogue also introduced the Digital Dialogue to the Korean participants to engage in exchange on digital policy, collaboration opportunities and knowledge transfer. |
